Some years ago, I challenged myself not only to read the Holy Scripture, but to reflect on the depth of the Creator's truth. Reading the story of the Creation, the phrase “one flesh” or “one body” caught my attention and prompted me to reflect on it. I grew overwhelmed by the depth of the Creator's truth that can be expressed even by a short phrase as “one flesh.” Thereafter, I tried to simplify by reflecting on a single word of “one.” I have expressed my reflections in several books that mainly came about from reflecting and noticing this single “one” word from my scriptural readings. I believe I could spend my entire life reflecting on this one word and always find the Creator's joyful expression of truth. By sharing this with you, I hope to encourage you to read the Creator's sacred words and reflect on them until they are expressed in your flesh, and then to rejoice in your life. Furthermore, I hope the discussion below will help you in your spiritual life and truth seeking. I pray that the LORD would send His Holy Spirit to warm your heart and help you gravitate to the Creator's truth. Please. Follow along and reflect in spite of my style of writing!
I found that the Creator's Design is to make a “one” family and that was obvious to me beginning from the first pages of the Holy Scripture. God made Adam by taking dirt, forming him and giving him life from the Spirit of the Creator. Therefore, Adam possessed an important part of the Creator in his genetic makeup. Consequently, Adam is part of the Creator's one family. The Creator could have created a helper to Adam in like-manner as He created Adam by using dirt and the Creator's Spirit. If the Creator created Eve in like-manner to creating Adam, Eve would form a second family relating to the Creator, but would only very minutely be related to Adam. It would be somewhat disrespectful to state that a hypothetical Eve created of dirt was bonded to the Creator directly, bypassing her bond to Adam. On the other hand, it is more spiritually and logically fitting and exactly the design of the Creator that Eve is designed to bond to Adam who bonds to the Creator and forms one bonded family with the Creator. However, the Creator did not wish to create a second family as evidenced by using a rib from Adam, forming it, and breathing in it to form Eve. This precise creation of Eve was not necessary to give Adam superiority to Eve, but was necessary to form a lineage – one bond from Eve to Adam forming one body and to the Creator forming one family of the LORD. Therefore, it is not the wish of the Creator that Eve would bond to the Creator directly and separately, but in a one family bond that includes Adam. Therefore, although Eve or Adam has the freedom to choose to bond directly to the Creator without relating to one another in like-manner as separate families, that would be their own design and short-sightedness. Although the desire of relating directly to the Creator is good and worthy, yet it is sinful as a human design and does not abide by the Creator’s Design.
The LORD designed man after the likeness of the Creator to reflect the image of the Creator. The Holy Spirit does not bond to the Creator's persona alone without bonding to the word Christ that became flesh. Likewise, the word Christ bonds to the Creator, but also must bond inseparably to the Holy Spirit. Likewise, God the Father persona bonds to the word that became the Son and to the Holy Spirit forming one Creator inseparably bonded. This family bond was expressed by Adam when saw his bride Eve as, “Bones of my bones, Flesh of my flesh... and the two of them become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:23-24).
Therefore, we can bond to the Creator’s design of one bonded family as the image of the Creator and after the likeness of the Creator. The one family bond design is of utmost importance and cannot be safely broken without severe and negative consequences. I found that depth of understanding of the Creator’s design of the one bonded lineage family, would make reading the Sacred Scripture intimate, truthful, and vital in the truthful understanding and faithful interpretation of the Sacred Scripture. My intention is to discuss reflections on various events in Scripture that communicate the Creator’s design and especially the intended perfected Christ's design.
The Creator’s design is one bonded family linked together with dominion to rule everything. Adam clearly understood the design as Eve is not made of dirt as Adam, but is made out of his own rib close to the heart, the lungs, and vital organs. Therefore, this one family of God takes a visible form with Adam playing its authoritative fatherly figure of the invisible God to rule, cultivate, and name everything. Eve plays the visible mother of the one lineage family of God. Thus, the design is one holy family with visible and invisible bonds just as as the image and likeness of the Creator has both visible and hidden meaning. This design foreshadows my later discussion of the fulfillment of the perfected future Christ's one holy family Church that is bonded inseparably with the Creator. The family Church is formed by the visible Fatherly figure with supreme authority, representing Christ, and the visible motherly figure, in the mother of Christ, bonded to all her children forming one bonded body – the Church. The Church is the spouse married and bonded to her head, Christ, the Groom. The one holy family reflects the image and the likeness of the Holy Trinity. Thus, reading the old Scripture not only provides knowledge of past events, but as the scenario written by blood, flesh, and words, the Scripture explains the Creator's design to be perfectly fulfilled at a future time.
The design of the one genealogical family I refer to is the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. The one family connected genetically by the first birth and the new rebirth into the Holy Family (one Baptism) is the Creator's timeless design. The Creator made man and then woman out of man and the LORD's breath formed the one family that is directly genetically connected. This original family was not placed in the world initially, but was placed in the womb of the LORD that is symbolized by the Garden of Eden. In like manner to the creation of man, a husband entrusts his inherited one family’s genetic code in one sperm that is given to his spouse to join in her one egg “to cultivate it and keep it” (Genesis 2: 15) inside her womb just as the LORD placed His children in His Garden of Eden.
Therefore, the attack on the Creator's Design of the one family would become Satan's main target for defeat by covert deception. Man and woman were kicked out of the Garden of Eden at an early time before their parent the Creator deemed them ready to be out of His womb. This expulsion from the Garden of Eden symbolizes a permanent death unless it is redeemed by the Creator in Christ. In like manner, an early violent removal of the fertilized growing new child out of the womb and care of the parents is an abortion that precisely resembles Eve's deception to make a choice that hastily led to expulsion from the Garden.
Similarly, the temptation of divorce is a covert attack on the one family, especially when compounded by preventing a parent from equal time and right to the children and preventing possible conception of future children. Moreover, since Christ redeemed us back into the one holy family as designed by the Creator, breaking off from the one holy family gives a triumph to Satan. Although important, belonging to the one holy family is not sufficient to escape the harm of Satan. Adam and Eve belonged and lived in the bosom and womb of the LORD in His beloved garden, yet were deceived and tempted in their loyal expression of their Father's thoughts, desires, and will.
Likewise, it is important to belong to the one holy family by being born anew as Christ established. It is also important to have an intimate and strong family bond by expressing our loyalty in our thoughts, desires and actions to conform to the thoughts, desires and will of our Father. Satan uses his most covert deception to separate the children from the one holy family Church. Satan works to discredit and shake our trust in the one holy family that Christ established. Additionally, Satan encourages us to divorce, viciously attack, bear false witness, or abort against the one holy family or its members. When Satan tempted Eve, he did not bring to her attention or discuss that her decision should consider the impact on her relationship with Adam as a vital link in the Creator's design of the one holy family, nor its impact on the future children and her ability to, “Be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1: 28). Instead, Satan implied that her choice would impact her alone and empower her to escape from a victim-hood in which she was denied all the benefits she could achieve, “You shall not eat from any tree of the garden” (Genesis 3: 1). Instead she would be empowered, “you will be like God” (Genesis 3: 5), and without harm or consequences against her, “You surely will not die!” (Genesis 3:4).
Satan continues today to deceive us and to tempt us to make disloyal choices of adultery and idolatry against the one holy family by focusing our attention on the gained empowerment and rights without regard to the one holy family design of the LORD. The deception becomes more subtle and more difficult to recognize, because the same words do not mean the same to wholly loyal children, partially loyal children, or disloyal children for “you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind.” (Colossians 1: 21). To speak the same language of the Father of the one holy family, one should wholly and intimately express the heart, mind, desires and actions of the Father of the one family.
One cannot know intimately the one Holy Catholic Church by looking Catholic, but by living Catholic! One cannot know intimately Christ by looking for Christ, but by living for Christ! One cannot deceive the Creator, nor Satan, but only oneself.
